That’s right -- we talk
full spoilers about the
first two episodes of Discovery, “The Vulcan Hello” and “Battle at the
Binary Stars.” Yes, this is a Star Trek show that managed to not show
its titular ship
at all in its first two hours… are we O.K. with that?
We
also delve into our thoughts on the new characters First Officer
Michael Burnham, Captain Georgiou, and Lt. Saru, what the deal is with
these crazy-looking new Klingons, why it’s maybe O.K. that the tech and
costumes look so different from what was established in “The Cage,” and
much more.
And Scott regales us with tales from the Discovery
premiere party in Hollywood where he hobnobbed with Jonathan Frakes, two
Daxes, a Nog, and many other Trek luminaries. Name dropper! Plus, of
course, we cart out another Red Shirt… right out the airlock, that is!
