These are just a few of the many great episodes Next Gen's fifth season gave us.

To celebrate the November 19th release of Season 5 on Blu-ray, Scott and Phil reunion-tour with the season that gave us everything from the return of Spock to Picard's space flute!

Plus, we have the winner of our Star Trek: The Art of Juan Ortiz book giveaway! And no episode of Transporter Room 3 would be complete without another Red Shirt of the Week. This week's occupant of the torpedo casket comes from Season 5's underrated "Disaster." You thought Picard had it bad being trapped with those kids? Doesn't hold a candle to our Red Shirt's explode-y demise.

So slip on your suede Picard jacket 'cause we're about to go all "Darmok and Jalad!" on this bitch! Er, I mean, listen to Episode 51 now!

  4. You speak rather negatively about seasons 6 & 7, and while I'm not denying there are more episodes of lesser quality than the previous years, season 6 has episodes like the very powerful fan favourite "Chain of Command", and personal favourites "Tapestry" and "Timescape". Season 7 also has strong episodes such as "The Pegasus", "Parallels" and of course the finale.
